The Edison Sailing Center is excited to be designated as the host for the 2010, 2.4 mR North American Championship. This regatta will be sailed on the Caloosahatchee River from downtown Ft Myers Florida. The Caloosahatchee will offer a variety of challenges for the competitors. Weather that will go from 3-5 knots of wind one day to 25 knots the next. With typical shifty conditions of lake and river sailing, the competitors will have to stay on their toes to stay in the lead. The River is tidal at this location so the need to work the tidal currents will always be a challenge.

This website is designed to help the participants find everything they need to make this a trip they will never forget. We have gone out and worked some great deals for local hotels. The Beaches of Lee County, Ft Myers Beach, Sanibel and Captiva Islands are only 30 minutes away. And of course, Disney World is just two hours away by auto.

As we get new information, this site will be upgraded, so you will want to visit regularly to see what is new.
